Allgood News 4-3-24 – Flash Mob Cancer – Simply the Best.
Arliss and Edward LeBere finally found each other late in life … and after being married less than two years, they got the worst news. Edward has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma. The average glioblastoma survival time is 12-18 months – only 25% of patients survive more than one year, and only 5% of patients survive more than five years.
Arliss says they don’t have a lot of money, but she wanted to let her husband know how much she loves him on their wedding anniversary (February 22) and sent out a call on social media to see if any local dance organizations could help her put together a FLASH MOB to their favorite song – The Best – by Tina Turner. Bartlett High School in Anchorage took up the challenge and surprised Edward at the Dimond Mall with the ‘their’ song … and dance. I shot the entire moment and I talked to the couple afterwards. What’s it like knowing… when you’re going to die? How is life right now.
