The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be this coming Saturday, April 28th. The event starts at 10:00 A.M. and ends at 2:00 P.M. Locations in the Municipality of Anchorage and the central Mat-Su Valley include the following:

In Alaska, last October’s event had 3,735 pounds of prescription medications disposed of at 18 sites across the state. A total of 912,305 pounds (456 tons) of prescription medications was disposed of across the U.S.
