Abbot Loop Community council is having a Summer Park Meet Up!
Please join us, Thursday, July 25th at Atkins Park!
Lake Otis & 84th, behind Alaska Native Cultural Charter School
Abbott Loop Community Council is gathering for an informal meeting at Atkins Park on Thursday, July 25th from 5-7 pm. This park is located behind the Alaska Native Cultural Charter School (ANCCS) on Lake Otis and 84th. Adkins Park is a dedicated park in the MOA containing 3.12 acres of land bordering a section of the South Fork of Little Campbell Creek between the school, Atkins Place and 85th Street.
ANCCS is putting in great effort to create a forest garden and orchard to include native plants and art which will create spaces for learning and enrichment both for the school and the community. ALCC invites you to join us to do some weed pulling, share some snacks, and visit with our neighbors.
We hope you can join us! Bring some gloves and a snack to share! We will have bug spray and water bottles! Look for the ALCC table near the back of the playground area. Probably best to park at the school and walk around towards the playground area- the gate at the side entrance of the school (bus lane) may be locked for summer and the neighborhood streets are narrow.
