Dayna Bateman is a recovering tech worker. Someday soon she’ll finish HUSTLING VINYL, a hybrid history/memoir about the record business, learning to listen, and her dad.
Julia Bouwsma lives off-the-grid in the mountains of western Maine, where she is a poet, homesteader, editor, teacher, and small-town librarian. Bouwsma is Maine’s sixth Poet Laureate and the author of two poetry collections: Midden (Fordham University Press, 2018) and Work by Bloodlight (Cider Press Review, 2017), both of which received Maine Literary Awards for Poetry Book. She is the Library Director for Webster Library in Kingfield, ME.
Brittany Retherford is a writer, fisherman, and licensed social worker based in Juneau. She is working on multiple projects focused on stories of how communities in Alaska journey through grief, triumph, connection, hope, and mental illness. She earned a Masters in Arctic and Northern Studies from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, is a former daily newspaper reporter and anthropologist, and is currently training as a sex therapist.
Sara Daniele Rivera is a Cuban Peruvian American artist, writer, translator, and educator. Her poetry and fiction use speculative and realist lenses to explore themes of migration, memory, and language. Her debut book of poetry, The Blue Mimes, will be published by Graywolf Press in 2024.
Erin Roberts is a speculative fiction writer who tells stories across formats, including prose, interactive fiction, and tabletop roleplaying games. She is currently a Provost’s Early Career Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin and one of the co-hosts of Writing Excuses, an award-winning podcast for writers by writers.
