New drive-thru COVID-19 testing site opens in Midtown Anchorage
By Anchorage Daily News
Updated: 1 day ago Published: 1 day ago

A new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site is now open in Midtown Anchorage six days a week.

The site, managed by Visit Healthcare and funded by Southcentral Foundation, is at 999 E. Tudor Road, open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Tests are free and open to the public. Appointments are not required.

[Alaska on Monday reports 3-day tally of just over 1,860 COVID-19 cases as decline continues]

For additional testing locations and times in the Anchorage area, visit anchoragecovidtest.org for open locations and estimated wait times.

State and national health officials continue to recommend testing for those with virus symptoms or who’ve had close contact with someone with COVID-19.

In Alaska, the current alert level is high, which indicates high levels of community transmission.
